Dear friends of Josh Barry Photography,
Recently the regular issue of the Baltimore Jewish Times released another Simcha edition featuring articles, ads, tips, how-to’s and guides concerning planning and source-finding for Weddings and Bar/Bat Mitzvahs. I had the pleasure and honor of being interviewed and featured in their article “Camera Ready”.
In the article are some very interesting and IMPORTANT tips on choosing your photographer. Although this is largely geared towards the wedding couple searching for a photographer they can easily be applied to Bar/Bat Mitzvahs as well. Click here to read Page 1 and here for page 2 of the article. You will need a PDF viewer to read these. Most computers have them already.
The album pages featured throughout the article are from a recent Wedding client, Patty Hans. Below is a testimonial received from her about her wedding.
“My husband and I used Josh Barry Photography for our wedding in September 2007. He is an outstanding photographer. He not only takes beautiful pictures using a variety of techniques, his approach to photography is very lively and fun while still very professional. He has the creativity and intuition to see something and to envision using it as a prop in his picture and is very comfortable doing so. He makes everyone feel comfortable and relaxed while he is taking pictures. Josh takes beautifully posed pictures as well as pictures where he is capturing the moment. He is able to catch moments so subtly that the subject isn’t even aware of the fact that he’s photographing them at that moment. As a bride, Josh made me feel special while ensuring that I was comfortable and relaxed. He makes every one of the guests feel comfortable too. Our wedding guests all commented on how great the photographer was and how much fun he was. Josh got fantastic shots without being intrusive. The pictures Josh took for us are absolutely beautiful and everyone that has seen them were equally impressed. I highly recommend using Josh Barry Photography for any of your photography needs. He is extremely talented and creative, very personable and also very accommodating. Again, we highly recommend Josh!

This was from a wedding back in Sept 2007 down in Parkville, Maryland (MD) but I just received this last week.

The Sharks found themselves up in Allentown this past Sunday and like everything else this season it went the way we all knew it would. They swam their hearts out in true team fashion rallying themselves before the meet even started. There were many close races and Allentown swam well but in the end the Sharks had the most points and put another tally mark in the 'wins' column.

Jeremy's Bar Mitzvah took place at the Liberty Jewish Center in Pikesville and his reception at Ner Tamid in Baltimore. Hats off to his entire family for having JEremy apart of their family. He is definitely a mench and has something to offer to the Jewish adult world.
He and his family were so pleasant and all around good people. Here are some from his Bimah Portraits and Party.

Here is an album that was recently finished. This is Gabbe's Bat Mitzvah Album. We did Bimah portraits for them and designed this newer style album that is brand new for 2008. This style will replace the custom builder album in our 'essentials' packages. This will be known as the 'Press Printed Coffee Table Style Album'. Everything is customizable as far as page and cover design much like the panoramic storyboard albums in our enhanced and platinum packages.
We are excited to now be doing these as it was a much needed upgrade for those packages.
Thank you parents for letting me walk around to take lots of pictures at last Sunday's swim meet. Below is a slideshow I put together for you to watch and enjoy. Once I get permission from the JCC I will release these so everyone can go through them one by one and look at them if you'd like. Our kids did a great job and we will carry all out momentum into the next swim meet!
Please note I tried to take as many pictures as possible of all the kids however it was extremely difficult telling who was who. It was like trying to differentiate different grains of rice in a box of Uncle Ben's. This slideshow also only has about 230 pictures in it which means there are about 40 or so that didn't make it into the slideshow do to time and space limitations. Once I get an image gallery up with the JCC's permission ALL of the photos from that day will be released online and possible for sale (that is if you can recognize any of your kids through the red caps and goggles LOL.)
Oh and yes there may be more pictures of Hannah than anyone else but who can blame me right?!>!
Once again everyone did a fantastic Job and I hope to look forward to doing thia again as it is great fun for me too.

I love her eye's!!! My original intentions were to get more full length portraits of her but she was just so expressive and 'flirty' with my camera that I found myself zooming in to get those close-ups.
