Tai came into my studio today as a recent winner of the 2008 Mr. Central Pennsylvania Drag King Championship. As I watched Tai carefully put together the outfits, makeup and beard I was amazed at all of the details that went into putting together such a look. No wonder she won. Look how carefully assembled that chin strap beard looks and pretty authentic if you're asking me. I was neat to watch the look come together. Tai's beautiful lady, April, helped with makeup and shadowing (which I learned is very important today). She certainly knows her way around an eyeliner.
We took MANY portraits and there will be more to come. Take a peak to see what I am saying. Hard to tell isn't it? Congrats Tai.

Emma came in with her mom yesterday for a fun session that involved lots of cake! We did all of the other stuff first BEFORE we let her get covered in frosting. She was so so calm the entire time pretty much letting us do anything with her. She did move around a lot which made for some really good 'action' portraits. She certainly knows how to crawl.
Oh and she LOVES goldfish (the kind you eat).
Here is a sneak peak at her session. Stay tuned for more in a couple weeks.

Family Photography
Meet Brad, Megan, Madilyn and Rylei. They came into the studio for their first family session. They are from Harrisburg Pennsylvania
I can't wait to deliver their canvas. I know it is going to look amazing on their wall.
Everyone was so cheerful and girls were very…what I call 'chucklehouse'. They giggled a lot and their good spirits made this session fun.
Good planning and good communication from the photographer to the family is an EXTREMELY important part in the success of the session when coming to the studio (and on location as well).
I call them 'Creative Planning Sessions'.
We meet a week or so before your session to discuss ALL the details of the session. This includes clothing, preparing, how to deal with children etc. In the end the results are great portraits yo will be proud to hang on your walls.
Here are a few of the results from our session.
