Madison came to my studio and decided that she wanted to do things her way. She liked being asleep but only for a little while. It was nice to get some of her sleeping and some of her awake. Here are some of my favorites from this session.

Wow I am sitting up in bed actually updating my blog. I have the house all to myself and all is quiet and peaceful in the Barry household. I have decided to make a bunch of updates to my blog. I may make several typos. For one I am typing in the dark and 2 there is this annoying fly landing on my screen every time I start typing. By the end of this there might be fly guts on my screen. Who knows.

So as I listen to my iPod with sounds of thunder and rain coming through my headphones (damn there is that fly again) I am reminded of (other than my A.D.D.) of how much I love photography and creating timeless, amazing artwork. Artwork from a frame on the timeline of their lives will be forever captured in fantastic creativity. Mom, Dad and eventually children will be glad they have of themselves.

This session was no exception to my rule of creating artwork of precious moments in time. Is it too korny to repeat how much I love what I do?!?!

Meet Harper Elizabeth. She came to me right from harrisburg, Pa for her newborn photography session. Mom and Dad were both feeling very fortunate to have her because it was not too long ago she was still in the hospital being watched over to ensure she was healthy after being too anxious to meet everyone. She is beautiful and healthy and enjoyed her session with me. I know she enjoyed it because she slept very well during the session.

Meet Analisse!

She crawled to my studio all the way from Mountville which is near Lancaster. She was tired when she got here so she slept a lot during the session. It made photographing her very easy!!

By the way her mom and dad have Analisse signed up for my Signature Baby Club. My Signature Baby Club is for newborns and young babies. Included in the baby club are 4 sessions evenly spaced apart over the first year of your child’s life, creatively documenting all the little changes they go through that we as parents would otherwise not see and get to appreciate since we are around them everyday. Emma came in with her mom yesterday for a fun session that involved lots of cake! We did all of the other stuff first BEFORE we let her get covered in frosting. She was so so calm the entire time pretty much letting us do anything with her. She did move around a lot which made for some really good ‘action’ portraits. She certainly knows how to crawl.

Oh and she LOVES goldfish (the kind you eat).

My favorite is of her eating her toes.

I love her eye’s!!! My original intentions were to get more full length portraits of her but she was just so expressive and ‘flirty’ with my camera that I found myself zooming in to get those close-ups.
