Madison came to my studio and decided that she wanted to do things her way. She liked being asleep but only for a little while. It was nice to get some of her sleeping and some of her awake. Here are some of my favorites from this session.

Wow I am sitting up in bed actually updating my blog. I have the house all to myself and all is quiet and peaceful in the Barry household. I have decided to make a bunch of updates to my blog. I may make several typos. For one I am typing in the dark and 2 there is this annoying fly landing on my screen every time I start typing. By the end of this there might be fly guts on my screen. Who knows.

So as I listen to my iPod with sounds of thunder and rain coming through my headphones (damn there is that fly again) I am reminded of (other than my A.D.D.) of how much I love photography and creating timeless, amazing artwork. Artwork from a frame on the timeline of their lives will be forever captured in fantastic creativity. Mom, Dad and eventually children will be glad they have of themselves.

This session was no exception to my rule of creating artwork of precious moments in time. Is it too korny to repeat how much I love what I do?!?!

Meet Harper Elizabeth. She came to me right from harrisburg, Pa for her newborn photography session. Mom and Dad were both feeling very fortunate to have her because it was not too long ago she was still in the hospital being watched over to ensure she was healthy after being too anxious to meet everyone. She is beautiful and healthy and enjoyed her session with me. I know she enjoyed it because she slept very well during the session.

Analisse came into my studio sleeping and left my studio sleeping.

We Couldn’t have had a better session. She was in a good mood expect when she was hungry. Other than that she didn’t mind being on her tummy at all.

Thank goodness I had my v8 splash on hand to keep mom’s (Sandra) thirst quenched. That is now her favorite drink because of me!

Remember this?

Well Serenea was born and I found myself back down in Hagerstown, MD today to create her newborn portraits. It’s fun being a photographer because you never know what you may discover or how things will turn out. You go into a situation with a general idea of what you would like but end up mostly following small sparks of inspiration. Like once I saw this basket that they owned and how it matches the curtains in this one room of theirs I had to try something with it.

I am learning that location photography is 10% technical skill and 90% moving furniture LOL.

Serena is a member of my first year ‘Watch Me Grow’ program so you will be seeing more of her as she grows up to a year old!!

Yup Lyndsey crawled in from York this past weekend for her 4 month session. She was very alert the whole time!!! SEE:

Meet Matt and Melinda Raback.

They come from us right in my own neighborhood. Small world. Mindy was looking on google for a photographer and found me. If I squint really hard I can see their back porch from my house LOL.

Mindy and Matt wanted something more natural and relaxed and wanted to show off a bit of their newborn daughter’s room.

Their house is beautifully decorated which made everything easy for me. Mindy and Matt have great taste.

Ella was so pretty and so calm the entire time we photographed her. I think we could have tossed her in the air, hung her up-side down, played the radio really loud and she still would have stayed asleep.

We had Olivia in our studio today and had an amazing time. We laughed and played with lots of different things. Her laugh and smile was incredible. She showed up in such a good mood and lasted almost a full two hours. Mom was such a great help keeping little Olivia in her good spirits.

I know I am teasing everyone by not showing her amazing smile but this one below, in my opinion, is just too adorable for words. Her eyes just make me stop and stare at them for a minute or two.
